Growstall

eDesk, Zendesk, Freshdesk or Growstall for Mirakl sellers: an honest comparison

Where each one fits, what none of them do, and the three questions to ask before you pay per seat. Written by Growstall, so read it with that in mind; the criteria are the ones sellers actually raise.

This comparison is written by the Growstall team. We have tried to keep the criteria to the ones sellers actually raise and to be plain about where we are the wrong choice. Prices and features change; check each vendor’s current page.

Who each tool is for

  • Zendesk is the general-purpose help desk: e-mail, chat, phone, social, a huge app marketplace. If most of your support happens on your own website and marketplaces are a side channel, it is the safe choice.
  • Freshdesk covers similar ground at a lower price point with strong automation and a generous free tier. Same caveat on marketplaces.
  • eDesk is the established multi-marketplace help desk: Amazon, eBay, Shopify and many Mirakl operators in one inbox, with AI-drafted replies. It is the tool to beat for high-volume Amazon and eBay sellers.
  • Growstall is narrower: sellers on several Mirakl marketplaces (plus Amazon), who need each operator’s SLA clock measured the way the operator measures it, the order beside the thread, and a report that says which products, carriers and marketplaces cost them refunds.

What none of them do

Two things, and it is worth knowing them before any demo. Nobody reads Amazon buyer messages through an API, because Amazon does not offer one; every tool, including eDesk and Growstall, works from the e-mail copies Seller Central sends. How that works. And nobody stops the operator’s clock with an automatic reply; an acknowledgement is a courtesy to the customer, not a reply for the metric. The clocks, explained.

Three questions before you pay

  1. “Show me a Friday 16:55 message on B&Q and on Amazon. When does each say it is due?” If both say Saturday, the tool is counting calendar hours on a business-hours marketplace, and your team will work weekends for nothing while missing the Tuesday deadline.
  2. “Show me an operator notice. Does it have an SLA?” “Supplier must contact the customer to arrange delivery” is a task from the operator, not a customer waiting. If it counts as overdue, your dashboard is wrong.
  3. “What is the price when I add a second person, and when I add a sixth marketplace?” Per-seat pricing punishes the small team that shares an inbox; per-marketplace pricing punishes the seller on twenty operators. Know which one you are.

Where Growstall is the wrong choice

If most of your support is on your own website, or on the phone, or in a chat widget, pick Zendesk or Freshdesk and connect marketplaces to them. If you are an Amazon-and-eBay seller with a Mirakl marketplace or two on the side, eDesk’s breadth will serve you better. Growstall is for the seller whose customer service is marketplace messaging: several Mirakl operators, bulky or complex products, a small team, and a refund line that needs explaining. That last part is where the money is.

Key takeaways
  • General help desks reach Mirakl through connectors and do not model per-operator business-hours SLAs.
  • eDesk is the breadth choice for Amazon and eBay volume; Growstall is the depth choice for Mirakl sellers.
  • No tool reads Amazon messages by API or stops the operator's clock with an auto-reply.
  • Ask about the Friday 16:55 message, the operator notice, and the price of the sixth marketplace or second person.

Questions people ask

Does Zendesk or Freshdesk connect to Mirakl marketplaces?

Not natively. Both are general help desks with e-mail, chat and social channels; Mirakl seller inboxes are reached through third-party connectors or middleware, and the operator's business-hours SLA clock is not something either tool models out of the box. They are strong choices if most of your support is not marketplace messaging.

Is eDesk good for Mirakl sellers?

eDesk is the most established multi-marketplace help desk and supports many Mirakl operators alongside Amazon and eBay, with AI-assisted replies. It is priced per agent and per volume, and its SLA handling is generic rather than per-operator business hours. For a seller whose main problem is Amazon and eBay volume it is a natural fit.

What does Growstall do that a help desk does not?

It is built only for marketplace sellers: each marketplace's own SLA clock in its business hours and holidays, operator notices separated from customer messages, the order and its carrier tracking next to every thread, refund and cancellation reasons read from the operator, contact rate by product and carrier, and an out-of-hours acknowledgement with safety gates. It is priced by marketplaces and conversations, never by seats.
